The fastener or shaft determines the washer bore. A loose clearance hole and a locating bore have different fit requirements, even when the outer profile is identical.
Specify thickness where it controls an assembly gap. For stacked washers, define the total stack requirement as well as the nominal thickness of each piece.
Unfilled PTFE is a starting point for an insulating washer. Conductive filled compounds must be assessed separately when electrical isolation matters.
PTFE can deform under sustained clamping. Provide the loading arrangement and the supporting face so a spacing or sliding washer is evaluated in its assembled condition.
